Current Status

7th State Pay Commission Has Been Constituted

The Government of West Bengal constituted the 7th State Pay Commission through Resolution No. 2657-F(P1) dated 22 July 2026.

The resolution was partially modified through Resolution No. 2760-F(P1) dated 29 July 2026.

Important: Constitution of the Commission does not itself mean that a new pay matrix, fitment factor or revised salary has already been implemented.

7th Pay Commission Constituted

Resolution No. 2657-F(P1) constituted the 7th Pay Commission along with its Terms of Reference.

10 August 2026

First Meeting

Fitment Factor, New Pay Matrix & Revised Salary

At this stage, a final new fitment factor, revised pay matrix, revised Basic Pay structure or implementation date should not be treated as confirmed unless the Commission recommends it and the Government of West Bengal formally accepts and notifies it.

Any figures circulating on social media, YouTube or unofficial websites should therefore be treated as speculation unless supported by an official document.
